Health and Fitness Coach

In addition to working as a firefighter for over 17 years, I started personal training 12 years ago. Now I
help clients use fitness to feel better both physically and emotionally. My main focus is about correcting form
and balancing integrated movements with strength training to help them feel successful in everything they do
from handling life's everyday tasks to excelling in interactive sports. I am also licensed as a physical therapist assistant
and certified by NASM as a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist.
Additionally, I hold certifications in nutrition, stretching, pre- and post-natal care, mobility, and cardio kickboxing.

When deciding on whether or not to work with a trainer please consider the following reasons in your decision making process.
Accountability and motivation are two of the biggest reasons my clients say they started working with a trainer in the first place. I make sure
I’m always on time to my sessions, almost never call out sick, and consistently maintain a positive attitude when training.
The fact that I’m very dependable encourages them to be disciplined with their training.
If you’re spending a lot of time in the gym and you're still not seeing results then it’s probably time for a change. It’s more than
just doing different exercises though. It’s also important to do the “right” exercises. I can help you determine what those exercises are
depending on your current fitness level and specific fitness goals.
You need to be challenged and you won’t do it on your own. Some of my clients have been training successfully on their own,
but need someone to push them safely to the next level. I can show you the variations and progressions
for exercises to challenge you at every workout.
Most of us have a specific injury or condition and don’t know how to correct the dysfunction so I’ve dedicated most of my educational time
on this subject. Correcting dysfunction will not only improve movement, but also alleviate pain. Being pain free
and moving in a full range of motion will allow you to accomplish your goals and prevent future injuries.
